Getting started
Getting started with DataPlay
From a fresh workspace to your first verdict. The deeper guides are on the way. This is the short version.
Set up your first project
- 01
Describe what you're researching
Give the project a short name (e.g. “Helio”) and a one-liner: an idea, a market, or a competitor, plus who has the problem. DataPlay uses this to discover relevant customer problems.
- 02
Gather evidence
Run Discovery and Gather to collect search demand, public discussions, reviews, competitor context, and AI answers. Findings are tagged by source and grouped into customer problems.
- 03
Read the ranked results
DataPlay ranks each customer pain by reach, intensity, momentum, and impact. Open a row to see the verdict, the takeaways, and the source-cited evidence behind them.
Refresh your research
Tracking means keeping a customer pain and its evidence together so you can revisit it. Refresh it before a roadmap review, after a meaningful market change, or when the decision scope changes. DataPlay does not claim continuous autonomous monitoring.
How to read a customer pain
- Signal strength: strong, moderate, or weak. Based on evidence count, source diversity, and workaround signal.
- Top takeaways: a short list of what the evidence says, with the sources one click away.
- The story: when customers give up and when they switch, the moments where the pain actually loses you the deal.
